IKEA's new innovative furniture store – right at Vienna's Westbahnhof. Many new innovative solutions have been integrated into the new home furnishings store to have a positive impact on the climate. The building has been awarded the GREENPASS® Platinum certificate.

 

Time for feeling good

 

The 8-story building with its unique city store concept offers plenty of space for people and is intended to be more than just a home furnishings store. A visit is therefore no longer exclusively for the purpose of running personal errands; rather, it aims to invite people to reinvent the often "abandoned village square" as a center of social activity. In addition to the standard retail areas, a restaurant, a hotel, and a green rooftop terrace are part of the building.

 

Decisive for the acceptance of this new concept, in addition to the offerings, is the quality of stay, which appeals to all 5 senses of the visitors, making it a place of well-being that people like to come to, get things done, and linger longer.

 

 

CONOWAVE is dedicated to auditory perception

The loudspeakers from CONOWAVE also find a place at IKEA Westbahnhof, the innovative furniture store. The unique membrane ensures 360° omnidirectional sound distribution. The homogeneous sound fields are automated and adjust the volume levels and music content according to the ambient noise and visitor flow.
