Professional sound systems for commercial spaces. Self-installed.
Professional spatial audio was previously hidden behind planners and large budgets. Yet, it is one of the reasons why customers stay longer and buy more.
CONOWAVE changes that: The same 360° sound technology, installed over 37,000 times, running in KaDeWe, IKEA, and Karl Lagerfeld, among others – as a plug-and-play system, simply order, install it yourself, done. No technician. No remodeling. No specialist planner.
Designed in Italy. Made in Germany.
As easy to install as a lightbulb.
Click the speakers into the track – power and support come from the rail, the music via wireless. No cables, tools, or electricians required. Your system will be up and running in just a few minutes.
That depends on the ceiling height. With a ceiling height of 2.7 m, a 360° speaker covers approx. 30 m², at 3.2 m about 50 m², and from a height of 4 m over 80 m² per speaker. Thanks to the 360° cone technology, the sound is distributed evenly in all directions – you need significantly fewer speakers than with conventional systems for a homogeneous sound image. Rule of thumb: ceiling height × 2 = distance between the speakers.
Do I need an electrician or a specialist?
That depends on the CONOWAVE speaker of your choice.
If you have track lighting in your store and opt for the CONOWAVE canto SMART speaker, the answer is 'no'. You can simply click the speakers and subwoofers into the track and connect them with two clicks on the remote control.
If you choose the wall or counter solution, the CONOWAVE luna SMART, the answer is also 'no'. You can simply plug the CONOWAVE luna SMART speakers into a power outlet.
If you opt for the ceiling solutions—either recessed into the ceiling with the CONOWAVE puro SMART; or suspended as a pendant with the CONOWAVE pendo SMART—then the installation is effectively the same as for a ceiling light. And that should be done by a technician in a commercial setting.
Does CONOWAVE work with my existing lighting track?
Yes. CONOWAVE loudspeakers fit all standard 3-phase lighting track – the same ones used for lighting. Simply click them in just like a lamp.
What is the SMARTplayer and why do I need it?
The SMARTplayer is a streamer, amplifier, and wireless transmitter all in one housing. Connect power and audio, pair CONOWAVE speakers, and the music starts playing. It powers an unlimited number of speakers simultaneously and in sync. A remote control is included in the scope of delivery – no smartphone, no Wi-Fi, and no internet required. Those who wish can also control it via a free app.
Does the system interfere with my Wi-Fi – or vice versa?
No. CONOWAVE operates on its own frequency (1.9 GHz DECT) – completely separate from your Wi-Fi. No internet required, no interference from smartphones or scanners. The system continues to run even if the internet goes down.
Do I need a GEMA license?
As soon as music is played in a commercial space with customer traffic, it is considered a public performance. Regardless of the source, GEMA fees must be paid. However, this is far cheaper than many realize. In Germany, it costs approximately €1 per m² per year.
In South Tyrol (SIAE) and Austria (AKM), it is about €1.50 per m² and in Switzerland (SUISA) about €1.80 per m². As a general rule in all countries: the larger the area, the cheaper the cost per square meter.
Important: Private streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music expressly prohibit commercial use in their terms and conditions. And in fact, this is actively enforced.
Can I expand the system or take it with me when I move?
Yes, both. Additional speakers can be added at any time – simply click them into place. And if you move, you can take the entire system with you and reinstall it at the new location. No specialist personnel required.
Can I disconnect the system from the power supply at night?
Yes. The system can be disconnected from the power supply at night without any problems. This also applies in the event of a power failure: all settings and configurations remain saved and are available again after switching it back on.
