Retail Transformation
With its new Retail.Next concept, BMW is redefining automotive retail. Open floor plans, digital consultation, and high-quality lounge areas create a modern brand experience. To provide the perfect sound, CONOWAVE implemented a wireless SMART audio system that integrates seamlessly into the architecture of the Munich showroom.

Audio as part of the spatial concept
For the BMW location in Munich, CONOWAVE developed an audio concept that integrates fully into the architecture. Loudspeakers and subwoofers were integrated directly into the existing 3-phase lighting tracks. Power is supplied via the tracks, while the audio signal is transmitted wirelessly using interference-free 1.9 GHz technology. This allows the showroom design to remain uncompromising – with no visible audio equipment or additional cabling.

Sound for different experiences
Whether for vehicle presentations, consultations, or in the lounge – every zone has different acoustic requirements. Individual volume levels and audio zones can be flexibly controlled via the SMARTplayer. Supplemented by the web app and the cloud, the result is a solution that is easy to operate, maintain remotely, and adapt to new usage concepts at any time.

Technology that supports the concept
The project in Munich demonstrates how modern audio technology consistently complements the Retail.Next vision. The wireless SMART audio system creates a high-quality soundscape, supports the open architecture, and offers maximum flexibility for future adjustments – a solution that harmoniously connects technology and design.
